In regard to the matter of “Colonel Chen of the Army Aviation and Special Forces Command Gone Missing in Guguan”, the Army Aviation and Special Forces Command has the following explanation:

Colonel Chen, who is affiliated with the Army Aviation and Special Forces Command, has gone missing when he was returning to the camp after having taught law and discipline education at the Guguan Liyang Camp, and his family has contacted the unit and police simultaneously today (21^st) morning for search and rescue preparation.

The Army Aviation and Special Forces Command pointed out that the unit has assigned Chief of Staff, Major General Li, to the Liyang Camp site to grasp on the situation and provide assistance straight after receiving the notice; in addition, the unit cooperated with the Army Command Headquarters to establish an advance command post at the tactical training center, and has organized special airborne and ground combat forces with the combination of police, fire department, and rescuing personnel to conduct a comprehensive search and rescue in the possible area that Colonel Chen has gone missing. We hope to bring Colonel Chen home as soon as possible.
